neighborhood and is among the smallest communities in the state. Shepherd is sometimes considered a

The community is named after a prominent early settler in the area, R.E. Shepherd. Shepherd owned the
Billings Land and Irrigation Company and the Merchants National Bank. Shepherd helped bring settlers

of the community is provided by the schools of the Shepherd Public School System. Students attend
classes at Shepherd Elementary, Shepherd Middle School and Shepherd High School. Local attractions
